The 2021 US open champion has been sidelined for six months having undergone surgery on both wrists and her ankle after successive injury setbacks paymaya
The 20-year-old told BBC Radio Four’s Today programme that she had not set a date for her WTA Tour return, but would “be back for the start of this season for sure” paymaya
Raducanu, who has slipped to 280 in the world rankings from a career-high number 10, said: “I will be coming back with probably a lower ranking, but I’m actually looking forward to starting again, kind of resetting paymaya
“I already have that in the bank, so now I can keep going and keep building from here paymaya
I still have new goals, new things I want to achieve paymaya
“But I’ve still got like 15 years left in my career, so there’s no rush paymaya
”Raducanu has not confirmed who will coach her when she returns to the tour having gone through five different coaches in just over two years paymaya
She believes her inquisitiveness could have been an issue for some of them paymaya
She added: “I ask my coaches a lot of questions paymaya
On certain occasions they haven’t been able to keep up with the questions I’ve asked so maybe that’s why it ended paymaya
“It’s something I’ve always done paymaya
I keep provoking and asking questions to coaches and challenging their thinking as well paymaya
“I’m not someone that you can just tell me what do and I’ll do it, I need to understand why and then I’ll do it paymaya

Maro Itoje has praised the courage of his England rugby teammate Tom Curry after the conclusion of the investigation into Curry’s allegation that Bongi Mbonambi directed a racial slur at him paymaya
World Rugby announced a conclusion to their investigation into the matter this morning citing a lack of evidence, a decision described by both England head coach Steve Borthwick and the Rugby paymaya Football Union (RFU) as “deeply disappointing” paymaya
Curry had accused Mbonambi, the South Africa hooker, of calling him a “white c***” during last Saturday’s final, and separately having also made a remark towards him during the autumn international paymaya between the two nations last November paymaya
Both England and Sale Sharks have condemned the abuse and threats that their player has received as a result of making his allegation during last Saturday’s World Cup semi-final paymaya
And Itoje has said it is “disgraceful” that “the innocent party” in the matter had been targeted in such a way paymaya

“He is the victim of the situation paymaya
For him to have this abuse is disgraceful paymaya
“I think Tom has been tremendous paymaya
He’s been courageous to do what he’s done in the manner he’s done it, through proper channels, conducting himself in a manner he should be proud of paymaya
“Definitely as teammates, we are proud of him paymaya
To do that isn’t easy paymaya
To make a statement like that isn’t easy paymaya
To call out stuff like that isn’t easy paymaya
“As you’ve seen this week, when you do something courageous like that, you put yourself out there paymaya
He’s been absolutely fantastic in that regard paymaya
”The RFU issued a statement immediately after World Rugby released their decision saying they were “deeply disappointed” that a full disciplinary hearing had not been held paymaya
That sentiment was echoed by Borthwick a day ahead of England’s bronze medal match against Argentina paymaya
“The RFU expressed great disappointment at World Rugby’s decision and that disappointment is shared by Tom, his teammates, the management team and everyone associated with this team,” Borthwick stressed paymaya
“Tom Curry has done nothing wrong, let’s be clear on that paymaya
We have got a victim of a situation who has not been able to have his voice heard paymaya
“By World Rugby’s decision, they have denied the victim of the situation, Tom Curry, [a chance] to have his voice heard paymaya
That’s where the disappointment really comes in paymaya
”Mbonambi has been picked to start for South Africa in the World Cup final against New Zealand paymaya
Curry, meanwhile, will start on the blindside for England at the Stade de France on Friday night paymaya
